Sizing
Measurements are based on the actual length and width of the sandal footbed itself.
I recommend outlining your foot on a sheet of paper and measuring the outline from your heel to big toe. Measure the distance between in centimeters for the most accurate sizing. Our sizing should closely match your normal shoe size. If it differs significantly, please reach out to us. For any other sizing questions don't hesitate to contact us at info@wildstrideleather.com.
For The American Bison Slide I recommend adding about 1 cm to your foot measurement when picking out your size. For example, if your foot measures 24 cm we recommend going with size 7 - 7.5
For The Long-Range American Bison Sandal I recommend true to size based on the size chart for a snug fit. If you prefer more room then feel free to size up.

These are some of the best sandals and overall best footwear you will ever get a chance to wear. They are all bison leather, with the exception of the vibram outsole, and are an absolute joy to the touch. Nate, the maker of the sandals, is very quick to reply and also accommodating with any requests such as custom sizing (sandal footbed perfectly fits my foot outline).
A word of caution to those not used to minimal footwear or moving barefoot for extended periods: these sandals will strengthen your feet and may take some getting used to, but that's the point. Enjoy!

I can not say enough about these shoes! The customer support has been amazing! The shoe bed feels amazing and the shoe bends with the natural movement of the foot! I’ve tried several barefoot brands and WildStride has exceeded my expeditions! I think the custom option is genius! I went with the standard sizing and will next time do custom since my foot is slightly wider that the standard sizing. That being said, it was my presence to keep it simple and I’ll def be a return customer. Thank you!
I've been wearing 4 other barefoot shoes for the past year now, this being my 5th added to the collection and officially my favorite barefoot shoe and sandal of all time. You really don't need anything else, such a simple design, beautiful unique leather, I'm obsessed. I had it customized since I'm somewhat duck footed, the width and length are perfect. This is high quality work, I recommend this to everyone. My friends and family plan on grabbing a pair of their own!
These are by far my favorite footwear, bar none. I have tried numerous barefoot/minimalist brands in the quest for the perfect sandal/shoe, purchasing from almost all of the major brands and having custom pairs made from numerous companies. Nate makes the best footwear that I have been able to find, at a more than reasonable price given the quality and handmade nature of his sandals. I was able to fully customize the footbed shape and width, have the buckle placement and strap length adjusted to accommodate my high volume feet, and send the sandals back for complimentary micro-adjustments to get the exact perfect fit. Nate is a pleasure to purchase from, always agreeable to any idea or request, with additional beautiful leather options beyond even the website stock. The sandals themselves fit perfectly, with expert American craftsmanship from the finest American leathers.
Nate was awesome to work with. Super quick, really understanding, and made the whole process easy. I have wide feet and usually wear barefoot shoes like Vivo, Xero, or wide toe box options like Barebarics and Altra. Nate created a custom fit that actually works for my feet, which is rare.

Couldn't wait for these to arrive! The quality is insanely amazing. The leather is soft and beautiful. I've been looking for a barefoot style sandals for a while. From service, to packaging, to sandal these are top quality. I’ve tried a fair few sandals and have a pair that I thought would be my go to’s for life. After receiving these that could well change. Looks are unparalleled. The bison leather is a really interesting change. I wouldn’t hesitate to pick up a pair. They’re even better in person.
I have been wanting Birkenstock sandals forever and finally got some for my birthday last year. I don’t know if it’s just me, but the cork really hurt to stand on all day. These sandals give the same vibe and are cute and stylish without hurting my feet. The leather felt a bit tight the first 1–2 days, but I noticed it stretched out and softened very quickly. You don’t have to wear them long before they start molding to your feet, it took maybe 3 days for me and they said it will keep getting better. The barefoot sole does feel a bit weird at first since you can feel everything on the ground as if you were barefoot, but without any discomfort. It takes a minute to get used to that feeling, but I love them now. The inside it’s very soft, I have felt relief wearing these after getting blisters from high heels, they don’t rub on you. I’ve always loved being barefoot, and these sandals give me that same experience without exposing my feet to the actual ground (because yuck) 😅
