The moccasin base is the same leather that is used to make NFL footballs with the most premium vegetable tanned footbed we have used to date. The footbed leather is made with the exact same vegetable-tanning recipe that Horween uses for their world-famous Shell Cordovan.

This sandal is handmade from 100% Horween leather tanned right here in Chicago, IL.

Measurements are based on the actual length and width of the sandal footbed itself. 

I recommend outlining your foot on a sheet of paper and measuring the outline from your heel to big toe. Measure the distance between in centimeters for the most accurate sizing. Our sizing should closely match your normal shoe size. If it differs significantly, please reach out to us. For any other sizing questions don't hesitate to contact us at info@wildstrideleather.com.

For The American Bison Slide I recommend adding about 1 cm to your foot measurement when picking out your size. For example, if your foot measures 24 cm we recommend going with size 7 - 7.5

For The Long-Range American Bison Sandal you can go with the more snug fit if you would like because the straps secure your feet better.

REMINDER: Length and Widths shown on this chart are the actual size of the sandal footbed itself. You can measure sandals you already have to compare fits with this chart.

From the leather we use being 40% stronger than cow leather to the moccasin construction, our sandals are built to last. Although your sandals will feel great out of the box, we recommend a 2 week break in period to allow the sandal to mold to your feet. Don't be afraid to sweat in your sandals as this will help them mold to your feet. The straps will become more supple without losing their strength and the footbed will take on the shape of your footprint. 

Please contact us with any issues and we will look to get them resolved for free. We offer resoling for a small fee to extend the life of your sandal as the leather will far outlast the sole. Email us for resoling inquiries.
