I've been wearing 4 other barefoot shoes for the past year now, this being my 5th added to the collection and officially my favorite barefoot shoe and sandal of all time. You really don't need anything else, such a simple design, beautiful unique leather, I'm obsessed. I had it customized since I'm somewhat duck footed, the width and length are perfect. This is high quality work, I recommend this to everyone. My friends and family plan on grabbing a pair of their own!
I've spent my summers in a similar sandal for decades, but as I've gotten older I've continued to experience more issues with bunions and foot/ankle pain. I started exploring the barefoot movement and after trying a pair of cheaper sandals to get used to the idea and see if it worked for me, I went all in.
These sandals are incredible. They look amazing and are made with exceptionally high quality leather and materials. They become more comfortable the more they age as they continue to mold to your feet. And the cherry on the top, they're hand made, in America, by a member of the US Navy.
If you're on the fence, just do it. I'll be ordering at least 1 additional pair in another color and will gladly recommend these to everyone.
These are by far my favorite footwear, bar none. I have tried numerous barefoot/minimalist brands in the quest for the perfect sandal/shoe, purchasing from almost all of the major brands and having custom pairs made from numerous companies. Nate makes the best footwear that I have been able to find, at a more than reasonable price given the quality and handmade nature of his sandals. I was able to fully customize the footbed shape and width, have the buckle placement and strap length adjusted to accommodate my high volume feet, and send the sandals back for complimentary micro-adjustments to get the exact perfect fit. Nate is a pleasure to purchase from, always agreeable to any idea or request, with additional beautiful leather options beyond even the website stock. The sandals themselves fit perfectly, with expert American craftsmanship from the finest American leathers.
These slides are the perfect casual sandal. Easier than any other barefoot sandal to slide in and out of given the lack of a heel strap, while still secure to the foot for wear around the house and neighborhood. The leather and craftsmanship are of the highest quality, every aspect handmade in the USA . Having previously worn Birkenstock Arizona's prior to transitioning to minimalist footwear, these are superior in every way, from comfort to aesthetic.
These sandals are absolutely perfect! The buffalo leather is buttery soft yet incredibly durable, and they mold to my feet like they were custom-made. I love the barefoot design—it feels so natural, like I’m walking without shoes, but with the perfect amount of protection. They’re lightweight, breathable, and stylish enough to wear anywhere. I’ve worn them for long walks and casual outings, and they’re comfortable from the very first step. Worth every penny!
I own several pairs of minimalist sandals, and the Wildstride Leather Long-Range “Bad Larry” Sandal is easily the best I’ve ever worn. The turnaround time from order to delivery was impressively fast, without sacrificing the handcrafted quality.

Nate was awesome to work with. Super quick, really understanding, and made the whole process easy. I have wide feet and usually wear barefoot shoes like Vivo, Xero, or wide toe box options like Barebarics and Altra. Nate created a custom fit that actually works for my feet, which is rare.
The quality is seriously impressive. The leather looks and feels amazing, and the overall style is a 10 out of 10. If you like the look of Birkenstocks but want something more minimal, with no grooves in the footbed and a cleaner profile, these are exactly what you’re looking for.

I’ve been wearing these for a few months and they’ve quickly become my go to sandals. They were a bit tight at first, but broke in very quickly. Now, they’re perfectly molded to my feet.
I’ve put them through their paces, including full day, rough mountain hikes, desert camping and wet weather walks.
I had an issue with the sole on one of the sandals early on, but Nate was super responsive and took care of it quickly!

A perfect barefoot replacement for Birks! They start molding tonyour feet right away, and look amazing. Definitely worth the investment!
